Charli's CCF

Jennifer Maultsby-Calhoun, a self taught baker, developed a sweet potato cake recipe in 2007 after converting a left-over, home-made, frozen Thanksgiving pie into a cake for her daughter, Charli. Charli is an avid cake lover; however, she does not like the texture of most pies. Thus, Jennifer thought it would be a great experiment to try to expand on one of the world's super-foods, sweet potatoes. After conducting market tests and distributing many cake samples, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and Charli's Cupcake Factory LLC was launched in October 2009
